Tracell Peace-Nichols founded the Peace-Nichols Law Office, LLC in 2025. Tracell graduated from Augusta University in 2007 with her Bachelors Degree in Political Science in Legal Studies.
In 2007 Tracell was employed as a probation officer for Sentinel Offender Services, misdemeanor probation. There she supervised various misdemeanor cases including DUI, Simple Battery, Domestic Violence, Superior Court cases reduced to misdemeanors, and was promoted to supervisor while attending court regularly for jail clearings or revocation hearings.
Tracell was then hired as a probation officer for the Georgia Department of Corrections in 2010 that was re-established as the Georgia Department of Community Supervision in 2015. She supervised various caseloads including standard, high, gang affiliated, mental health, and supervising the Augusta sex offender unit when promoted to Assistant Chief in 2015.
During her employment with law enforcement, Tracell went on to earn two Masters Degrees from Troy University; the first degree obtained in Criminal Justice in 2011 and the second degree earned in 2014 in International Relations with a focus on Homeland Security. While employed with the Department of Community Supervision Tracell attended the Charleston School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2020.
Tracell was hired as a prosecutor with the District Attorney’s Office in the Augusta Judicial Circuit District where she was involved in the prosecution of cases involving thefts, rape, aggravated assault, drugs, and murder. She resigned from the District Attorney’s Office in 2025 as she founded Peace-Nichols Law Office, LLC.
